ParetoLogic Privacy Controls Updates
One of
several great features of ParetoLogic Privacy Controls is the
ability it has to keep up with all of the newest upgrades. You can
very easily have our program setup to do updates automatically and
you can also just as easily turn off this feature. You will get free
category and product updates for the lifetime of your subscription.
ParetoLogic
Privacy Controls Subscriptions
You
are provided with the latest database and product changes free as
long as you have a full subscription. These updates are important to
keep ParetoLogic Privacy Controls running with the best protection
available. You should be sure to keep your subscription
valid to prevent you from not receiving these crucial updates.
Note:
If you do not have the newest application definition file for
ParetoLogic Privacy Controls, you may not be getting the best
coverage for our product. You can eliminate this by always doing
updates frequently.
Turning On Updates in ParetoLogic Privacy Controls
Our program
is set by default to check every day automatically for any new
updates that may be available. When there is an update provided, you
are asked if you want to complete the update by downloading the
file. The update will not begin until you have responded.
ParetoLogic Privacy Controls Update Confirmation Dialog Message
You
can turn off this Confirmation Dialog to allow all updates to be
downloaded and installed automatically. Only do this if you no
longer wish to verify any available updates. To turn off the
Confirmation Dialog message all you need to do is place a check in
the box next to Ask before downloading updates located on the
About Page as described below. You will no longer be asked to
confirm them and they will automatically be downloaded and installed
keeping your ParetoLogic Privacy Controls up to date. There is no
reason why you could not make this change to your settings.
Turn Off Automatic Updates in ParetoLogic Privacy Controls
You
can turn off the feature of automatic updates in our program by
simply doing the following steps.
1
- Start ParetoLogic Privacy Controls
You will be
at the Main Window as shown here:

2
- Open ParetoLogic Privacy Controls About Window
Once
you have the program open go to the About window by clicking
on the About link in the upper left side of the Main Window. You

3 – Turn Off
Automatic Updates in ParetoLogic Privacy Controls
To turn off the
automatic checking of updates option: remove the check mark in the
box next to Automatically check for
updates in
the Updates section of the About window.
Note: You can also
see the Ask before downloading updates
option
is directly below
this. If you do not want to be asked every time there is an update
available be sure the check mark is removed from the box. You can
see in this screenshot that both of the check marks in the boxes
have been removed.

Once you have removed the check marks
from the boxes you will no longer permit our program to
automatically check for updates or be asked if you want to download
them.
Manual
Updates in ParetoLogic Privacy Controls
If you have removed the feature of
automatic updates you can still check for updates by clicking on the
Check for updates button located in the Updates section of the About
Window. If there is an update available you can download and install
it. If there is no update you will see the following:

It is not
recommended that you remove the feature of automatic update checks
in ParetoLogic Privacy Controls. It is better to have the program
take care of this, but if you decide to do it this way; be sure to
check manually for updates often.
