How To Disable And Exit Spam Controls
Spam Controls Introduction
Spam Controls is an anti spam application that is always on. As such it runs in the background of your PC scanning emails as they arrive to ensure that they do not contain spam content and are not phishing attacks. Very little user intervention is required in order to minimize the amount of spam a user receives and the running process takes up very little computer memory. However, should you need to exit and disable Spam Controls for any reason the process is still a simple one. Be aware that simply closing the main program dashboard is not enough to fully exit the application.
The Spam Controls System Tray Icon
Spam Controls is set by default to run when you start your computer. This ensures that you are fully protected as and when you receive any emails from anybody. Disabling this feature means you will need to turn the program on whenever you require the functionality and security that it offers. When Spam Controls is running an icon appears in the System Tray of your PC. The System Tray is located at the bottom right of the screen next to the clock.
Close Down Open Spam Controls Windows
Before commencing with closing down the Spam Controls application completely, you should exit any Spam Controls windows and dialog boxes that are currently open on your computer. This includes the main dashboard, although it is not necessary to close down your email application to proceed.
Closing Down The Spam Controls Application
When this icon appears it means that Spam Controls is currently running. In order to fully exit the application, right click on this icon and select disable.
In the resulting dialog box click the OK button. This will close down all running processes and applications from your system.
It is equally as simple to restart the application and begin enjoying the protection that Spam Controls offers once more. Simply open the program using the Start menu icon or the desktop icon.
Closing Down Spam Controls
It can sometimes be necessary to close down any application that is accessing the Internet or your email. Alternatively, if you are running a processor heavy application or process then you may want to close down all other applications while you do run it. In these cases, closing down Spam Controls should be safe, presuming that you are not receiving email in the meantime. Always remember to reopen the application once you have finished so that you can minimize the amount of spam and phishing emails that you receive.
