Spam Controls Introduction

Spam Controls is an anti spam application that runs in the background of your system while you are able to continue working as normal. When you receive new emails using the Microsoft Outlook or Outlook Express email clients, Spam Controls will scan the email in order to check for spam content and ensure that the email is not a possible phishing attempt. Both spam and phishing emails are a massive problem for Internet users, especially those that sign up with unscrupulous websites or leave their email address in public view. The always-on provided by Spam Controls makes it a powerful spam prevention tool.

Spam Controls Real Time Protection

Spam Controls is set to run on startup, meaning that it executes and runs as soon as soon as you turn on your PC every time. This means that you are instantly protected when you run your email application and have email delivered. The application can be shut down or exited by right clicking on the system tray icon and selecting disable, which prevents the application from executing and stops all active processes. Unless you alter the settings or make changes within the registry Spam Controls will execute again when you next restart your computer. However, should you wish to enable the protection that Spam Controls offers without having to restart your computer follow these simple instructions.

Enabling Spam Controls

Spam Controls can be enabled using two different methods – through the Start menu program folders or using the desktop icon that was added when you installed the application.

Enabling Spam Controls – Using The Start Menu

1 - Click the Start button.

2 - Click All Programs.

3 - Locate the ParetoLogic folder.

4 - If you have more than one ParetoLogic application installed then all applications should be listed. Click the Spam Controls subfolder.

5 - Click the Spam Controls icon.

Enabling Spam Controls – Using The Program Shortcut On The Desktop

When Spam Controls is installed, users are given the option of adding a desktop icon. Typically, this is added by default to facilitate quick and easy access without having to navigate around the system to find the program file.

1 - Minimize all open Windows on your computer so that you can fully view the desktop of your computer.

2 - Double Click the ParetoLogic Spam Controls shortcut icon.

Enjoying Full Spam And Phishing Protection

Both these methods will enable the Spam Controls scanning engine, while opening the main application dashboard to the Home page. This means that your email client, and subsequently you, are now protected against spam and phishing threats once more.

Why Spam Controls Should Always Be Enabled

Anti spam and phishing protection software is only useful when it is used. Having the Spam Controls application disabled means that you are not being afforded any of the high level of protection that Spam Controls offers. We strongly advise that users take advantage of the real time protection offered by leaving the program to run on startup and leaving it to run whenever you are using your computer. Spam and phishing emails can cause a large degree of damage not only to your computer but also to you, in the shape of digital theft, and even personal identity theft.
