How To Use ParetoLogic Spam Controls To Scan For Spam
ParetoLogic Spam Controls is predominantly used to scan emails as and when they arrive in the inbox of your Outlook or Outlook Express email client. As well as being able to use ParetoLogic in real time it is also possible to run impromptu scans of existing emails in your inboxes. The Initial Quick Spam Scan

Ongoing Real Time Scanning
The simplest method of scanning is to use Spam Controls in real time. Leaving the Spam Controls application to run in the background, which it is set to automatically do, means that whenever you receive a new email it will be scanned and the appropriate action will be taken. For the most part, there is no need for your intervention during this process.
Scan Through Spam Controls Dashboard
To scan through the Spam Controls dashboard, open ParetoLogic and click on the Options link.
This will open the Options page and, on that page, is a Scan Now button. Clicking this button will first open your email client and then begin the scan. Once completed you will be shown the result of the scan as well as any dialog windows that you have enabled in the Spam Controls settings.
Scan Directly From Your Email Client
The final option is to scan from your email client. When you installed the Spam Controls application the installer would have added a toolbar to any Outlook or Outlook Express programs on your computer. Open your email client and navigate to the folder you wish to scan (typically, your Inbox) and then click the Scan button located in the Spam Controls toolbar. Again, once the scan is complete, you will be presented with the results.
The Best Option
Active scanning is one of the biggest benefits of Spam Controls. This means that as you download any new emails into Outlook or Outlook Express the program will scan them as soon as they arrive. Spam Controls will then take the desired action, according to your settings, with each email. This includes adding the sender to the block list or the allow list accordingly.
Other Alternatives
Alternatively it is possible to scan using the main ParetoLogic dashboard or using the button on the toolbar located in your email client. Whichever option you choose you will be presented with the findings once the scan has completed and, if you have opted for Spam Controls to request action, then you will be given the options of what you can do with each email.
