How To Install and Uninstall Spam Controls
ParetoLogic Spam Controls Introduction
ParetoLogic Spam Controls is a powerful and feature rich anti spam application. It can be used with both Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft Outlook Express in order to minimize the number of spam emails you receive. It does this by using various different filters and anti spam technologies in combination to provide an effective and powerful method of blocking known spammers, preventing the delivery of emails containing certain keywords, and learning from the actions you take with emails when you receive them. However, before you can take advantage of Spam Controls it is obviously necessary to install the application using a simple and intuitive installation interface.
Opening The Installer
Once you have downloaded the Spam Controls installer from the ParetoLogic website you should closing all other applications, especially Outlook and Outlook Express. You will need to close these applications later during the process anywy, and closing any other applications will speed up the installation process. Once you have closed any currently redundant applications double click on the ParetoSC setup icon to open the installer.

Beginning Installation And The User Agreement
Click Next to begin the installation. This will display the User Agreement page. In order to continue with the installation you should read through the terms of the agreement and then click I Agree in order to proceed. To quit the installation press the Cancel button.

Selecting An Installation Location
On the next screen you will be prompted to select a location on your system to install the application to. By default the Destination Folder will be placed within the Program Files folder of your hard drive. In order to change this location click on the Browse... button. Below the location field an information box displays the amount of free space that is required for a full installation of Spam Controls as well as the amount of available space within the selected location. Once you have selected the Destination Folder of your choice, or to use the default, click Install.

Installation Progress Screen And Finishing The Installation
The installation will begin when you click the Install button. All files will be copied to the chosen location and shortcuts will be placed on the desktop of your computer for quicker access in the future. The status of the installation will be displayed at the bottom of the screen only to be replaced once installation is entirely complete. On the resulting screen click the Finish button to finish the installation.
The Quick Scan
Once
installation has completed Spam Controls will locate any version of Outlook
or Outlook Express on your computer and perform a quick scan of any existing
emails. You will be given a summary of these results on the following Window.
If you have yet to register the product you will also be prompted to do so on this screen in order that you can block spam and phishing emails and cure any existing emails that may have already been delivered to your inbox. Either click the Register button to register and receive an authorization code or click Close to close this Window.
Checking For Updates From The Main Server

As well as
performing a quick scan, Spam Controls will also connect to the main
ParetoLogic server in order to determine whether any updates to the software
are available. Again, the results will be displayed in a new Window and,
where appropriate the Self Updater will install all of the necessary updates
to your software.
Click Close when the update has completed in order to close this screen. You will be left with the main ParetoLogic Spam Controls dashboard, with the software now installed and running on your computer.
Uninstalling ParetoLogic Spam Controls
Uninstalling the software is just as easy and quick. If, for any reason, you need to uninstall the application you should first of all close down the ParetoLogic Spam Controls program as well as Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft Outlook Express, if either are currently running on your computer. Locate the program folder from within the Start menu. To do this click the Start button and then select All Programs. Navigate to the ParetoLogic folder and select the Uninstall Spam Controls option.
Warning Message – Close Spam Controls

If you did not close Spam Controls before beginning then you will receive this error message. Either manually close down the Spam Controls application (ensuring that it is not running in the background) or click on the Yes button to close the application and continue with the uninstallation procedure.
Beginning Uninstall

This confirmation screen displays the folder that contains the Spam Controls application and files. The Uninstalling from: field provides you with details of the folder containing Spam Controls and what is about to be uninstalled. If this is the correct application then you should click Uninstall in order to proceed. Alternatively, click Cancel to leave the uninstall wizard.
Close Your Email Applications

Again, if you left Outlook or Outlook Express running then you will receive this error message. In order to continue uninstalling the application you will need to manually navigate to the application window, fully close down the application that is open, and then click Retry on this window. Alternatively, you can click Cancel to cancel the uninstalling of Spam Controls.
Uninstall Process And Completion

While the uninstallation is in process you will be able to see how progress is going by watching the green bar. Once uninstalled you will be shown this screen. To finish uninstalling ParetoLogic Spam Controls click on the Close button.
