How To Manually Check For Updates
Spam Controls Updates
Updates are an integral part of the ParetoLogic family of software applications. Regularly updated software increases the potency and viability of Spam Controls, as it does with any computer security application. The latest downloads typically include the capability of defending against the latest spam and phishing attacks. This helps to keep your email client clean and your personal information private. Spam and phishing attack emails have become an ever increasingly omnipotent threat and while they were once reserved for the few that posted their email address straight onto websites, spammers gain email addresses from many different locations.
Opening The Update And Information Page
Spam Controls does offer automatic scheduling for searching for and downloading updates, however, should you want to download updates manually then this is also possible. Open Spam Controls and click on the About link in the top left corner of the screen.
Manually Updating Your Software
You can view the Program version you are currently using on this page as well as information pertaining to your current license type and its expiration. However, in order to manually download the latest updates for your software click the Check for Updates... button on the right of the screen. This will bring up the ParetoLogic updater.
If any updates are found they can be
downloaded and installed to your system ensuring that you have the latest
protection against spam and phishing attacks.
Automatically Close The Updater On Completion
By ticking the box at the bottom of the screen you can automatically close the updater window once it has finished locating and installing any software updates available. If you have any other ParetoLogic software installed on your system and you have enabled the software for updating then the updater will search for all applications and not just Spam Controls.

Updating your software is important. It not only ensures that you have any bugs or fixes that have been recently reported and fixed but it also ensures that you have the best level of protection against many email bound threats. We strongly recommend the use of automatic updating to ensure that updates are searched for on a regular basis and the appropriate ones added to your computer as and when they are required.
