Regular releases of software and spam and phishing prevention technology ensures that you get the best possible protection when you receive emails. Updating can be done manually through the main Spam Controls dashboard or, alternatively, it is possible to schedule updates so that they occur every 24 hours, every week, or every month providing a robust and all round level of protection.
1 - Open the ParetoLogic Spam Controls main dashboard and click on the About link in the top left of the screen.
2 - Click the Update Options button to open the ParetoLogic updater menu. Click Schedule once this opens in order to open the main scheduler page.
3 - On this screen there are three options providing you with the means to enable or disable automatic scheduling and also to determine when to check for updates, should you enable the scheduling option.
Auto Update – this option will check on the main server every 24 hours to look for any recent updates. If any updates are found they can be downloaded and installed so that you software is kept completely up to date.
Manual Update – the manual update option is for users that would rather not set a schedule to check for downloads. If, instead of scheduling, you opt to regularly but manually click the Check For Updates button in the About page then this is the correct option for you.
Custom Update – the custom update screen will vary depending on the schedule type you choose.
The daily schedule requires that you select a time and number of days to run the scheduler.
The weekly setting requires that you select a day or number of days to schedule updates every week. You should also pick the time to start the scan on those days and the weekly frequency.
Monthly scanning requires the selection of a start time and date of the month to scan. When this date come rounds each month the scan will run in the normal manner.
