Once added, the toolbar can be used to access every important aspect of the Spam Controls program quickly and easily.
The PL Spam Controls Folder
As well as the toolbar you will also notice, in your email program, that a new folder has been added as a sub-folder of your Inbox. This folder is called PL Spam Controls folder and is the target location for emails marked as spam either by Spam Controls or by you.
Email Application Integration Details In Spam Controls
Details of your Email Application Integration can be viewed through the main Spam Controls window. Open Spam Controls and click on the Options page link in the top left of the screen. This brings up the following page:
The top pane of this window is titled Email Application Integration. As well as displaying the time and date that the last scan of your emails was conducted it also gives details regarding the email applications that you use and the scans that have been performed on emails within these applications.
Once email has been detected in either Outlook or Outlook Express the relevant section of this page will become bold and you will be able to read it. The total number of emails that have been scanned and how many of those emails were believed to be spam will be included under each of the application names.
Disabling Email Application Integration
Removing the tick from next to either of the application names will stop ParetoLogic Spam Controls from working with this program. To enjoy the full benefits of Spam Controls it is strongly advised that you leave it to run on whichever of the applications you use to receive email, or both if you use both.
